Perfectionism Kills Authenticity

When my inner critic kicks in and starts messing with my peace of mind, I recall these words shared by Angeles Arrien, who wrote the Four Fold Way and The Second Half of Life:

“Let go of the need to…
look good
do it right
be right
and have it together.”

Letting go of that constant drive for perfection frees your authentic voice — your brilliance. You are enough, just as you are. Trust that your unique medicine is highly valued by the world.

  2. Interesting. The inner voice is something that I’m constantly battling with. Letting go has been this recent theme on my mind. Here’s an interesting video that helped open my eyes:
